The process of chromatin diminution in Parascaris and Ascaris is a developmentally controlled genome rearrangement, which results in quantitative and qualitative differences in DNA content between germ line and somatic cells. Chromatin diminution involves chromosomal breakage, new telomere formation and DNA degradation. The programmed elimination of chromatin in presomatic cells might serve as an alternative way of gene regulation. Dispositif non pas d’exposition mais de communication, la « Konkomba Memory Box » est présentée simultanément dans une localité konkomba, à Nawaré au Togo, et au Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum à Cologne, dans le cadre de l’exposition « Resist – Die Kunst des Widerstands (L’art de la résistance) », du 6 novembre 2020 au 14 avril 2021. Ce cadre muséal hors-les-murs n’est pas simplement le réceptacle des informations collectées au cours d’une enquête sur l’actualité du passé colonial, et notamment de sa violence, (...) mais il est aussi l’outil d’une exploration, dont la forme est élaborée, appropriée, discutée et recomposée par l’ensemble des participants, et surtout, par ceux qui aujourd’hui, font leur ce récit. L’affaire des « pouces coupés » illustre bien cette démarche. Il s’agit du débat sur la restitution d’un membre fantôme, celui du pouce de la main droite des archers konkomba dont les descendants actuels affirment qu’il a été amputé par les milices coloniales allemandes (Von Massow) puis françaises (Massu). Le rapport Sarr-Savoy sur la restitution du patrimoine africain a provoqué controverses et crispations. Quels peuvent être les critères de restitution des objets? Les modes d’acquisition, les usages dans le contexte culturel d’origine, les modalités de retour en Afrique? Il s’agit ici de faire un pas de côté par rapport au débat sur le devenir des musées détenteurs de collections coloniales, particulièrement euro centré. La restitution n’est pas seulement le déplacement physique d’un artefact d’un musée à un autre, elle est (...) un geste symbolique. Ainsi, dans les angles morts de la restitution formelle, cette Mineure recherche des formes alternatives de restitution de basse intensité, à partir desquels pourrait s’ouvrir de nouveaux horizons d’appropriation. Neuroethics is an interdisciplinary field that arose in response to novel ethical challenges posed by advances in neuroscience. Historically, neuroethics has provided an opportunity to synergize different disciplines, notably proposing a two-way dialogue between an ‘ethics of neuroscience’ and a ‘neuroscience of ethics’. However, questions surface as to whether a ‘neuroscience of ethics’ is a useful and unified branch of research and whether it can actually inform or lead to theoretical insights and transferable practical knowledge to help resolve ethical questions. (...) In this article, we examine why the neuroscience of ethics is a promising area of research and summarize what we have learned so far regarding its most promising goals and contributions. We then review some of the key methodological challenges which may have hindered the use of results generated thus far by the neuroscience of ethics. Strategies are suggested to address these challenges and improve the quality of research and increase neuroscience's usefulness for applied ethics and society at large. Finally, we reflect on potential outcomes of a neuroscience of ethics and discuss the different strategies that could be used to support knowledge transfer to help different stakeholders integrate knowledge from the neuroscience of ethics.
